The Bridewell Centre

For those with a passion for local history, the Old Courthouse and Jail, also known as “The Bridewell Centre,” is a must-visit. Built in 1862-63 on land owned by Sir Edward Waller, this historic site served as a venue for minor offenses and preliminary hearings before more serious cases were moved to a higher circuit court.
